Expressing oneself clearly through writing is a life skill and one that requires careful instruction and practice. This zoom workshop is designed for those interested in practical methods for teaching students how to write well.
Session 1: The Elegance of the Complete Sentence
In this one-hour session, participants will learn how to construct vibrant sentences, both simple, and complex, that invite and delight. Included are a review and practice of grammar and essential editing skills.

Session 2: Reading for Information, Note Taking, and Composing a Paragraph
In this one-hour session, participants will learn how to introduce their students to find and record the essential information in non-fiction texts necessary for report research and writing. Using these notes, we will explore ways to compose succinct, dynamic paragraphs.
